寄养家庭:急救与心肺复苏标准
First Aid & CPR Louisiana
Becoming a certified foster family in Louisiana means offering a safe home to a child who cannot remain with their own family. Among the requirements completed through certification: current CPR and first-aid training. It is one part of a process that also includes pre-service training, a home study and background checks.
急救要求
In Louisiana, current CPR and first-aid certification is required of foster (resource) parents as part of certification, alongside pre-service training, a home study with a safety inspection, fingerprinting and references. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) oversees foster parent certification and the related Child Placing Agency Standards.
The certification must be kept current and is administered through DCFS and licensed child placing agencies. It is one requirement in addition to the home study and the parenting suitability assessed during certification — it does not by itself qualify a person to foster.
